Honoring MJ's love for America's pastime and Jordan Brand's legacy in professional baseball, the Air Jordan IX Pinnacle pack is built with a specially made leather designed to mimic baseball mitts. Each pair comes in packaging inspired by baseball cards that leaves the colorway (either Black/Metgold-white or Hazelnut/Sail) a mystery until after opening. The two versions pay tribute to Jordan's minor league stints in Birmingham, Ala., and Scottsdale, Ariz., by featuring his numbers, #45 and #35, respectively, on the heels. Two baseball jerseys and hats complement the release.
New Jordans 2016, Sometimes it feels like MJ's days on the diamond were only a dream. The king of the ball-court slugging it out on the minor league mound as a tribute to his old man – it sounds like the plot of a midday movie. To make sure we don't forget the touching tale of the Jumpman's foray into America's second-favourite pastime, Jordan Brand have pulled the Air Jordan 9 off the bench and laced it with some glove-like leather. A special Air Jordan 9 Baseball Glove Pack paying tribute to Michael Jordan's baseball career is set to drop this summer that includes a black leather version with 45 on the heels as a homage to the Birmingham Barons and the other in brown leather featuring the number 35 as a nod to MJ's time spent with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League in 1994.
Cheap Jordans 2017, Looking back once again for inspiration to Michael Jordan's brief stint playing baseball while temporarily retired in 1994, Jordan Brand is releasing a very special edition of the Air Jordan 9 Retro this summer. Built in a premium leather construction, the shoe is designed to look like a baseball mitt with added leather threading across the upper. The shoe will be featured in two colorways of black with his #45 from the Birmingham Barons and brown with #35 that he wore while playing for the Scottsdale Scorpions. Making for one of Jordan Brand's most unique releases yet, the two colorways will be packaged in a "mystery" style, with the shoe box covered in a plastic wrap inspired by baseball cards. Jordan Brand has confirmed that the brown leather colorway will be much more limited than the black pair, which of course makes it the more desired find for collectors. Baseball caps and jerseys (not yet revealed) will also be available at retail to round out the special edition Air Jordan 9.
